BBG Ventures was founded to capture alpha from underestimated entrepreneurs addressing overlooked opportunities. Our investment thesis – that founders who inherently understand their target market have a competitive advantage – led us to focus initially on women building for women. But demographic and social shifts are rapidly changing the face of America – creating what we call The Polyculture – and that spurred us to expand our mandate to a broader definition of underestimated founders, including age, income and race as well as gender (see Investing in the Polycultural Future of America). We focus on areas where returns and impact meet: Healthcare Transformation, Future of Work and Learning, Financial Inclusion, Energy Resiliency, Vertical AI, and Overlooked Consumers.
