Forwardkind is a Colorado-based cooperative powering bold futures and kind connections.

We exist to build inclusive pathways to ownership, meaningful work, and economic mobility.

Connections create value. The social era will reward those organizations that realize they don’t create value all by themselves. If the industrial era was about building things, the social era is about connecting people, ideas and things.

We believe today’s startup ecosystems are due for a refresh.

We also believe innovation and economic resilience grow through cooperation—by pooling resources, sharing knowledge, and investing in one another across geographic, cultural, and economic divides.

FAQ

What is a Limited Cooperative Association?

Forwardkind is legally recognized by the State of Colorado as a public benefit, member-owned, for-profit Limited Cooperative Association (LCA). In 2011, the Colorado Uniform Limited Cooperative Association Act (ULCAA) was signed into law, paving the way for member-owned cooperative organizations to be established. As a LCA, Forwardkind is 100% democratically governed by its members and is able to provide a dividend to its members according to its bylaws.

Is Forwardkind competing with existing communities?

Definitely not! Quite the contrary. Forwardkind aims to amplify and support other communities across Colorado that provide vast benefits and belonging to their members. Think of Forwardkind more as a convener and cross-pollinator of people and ideas across disparate communities.

When can I join Forwardkind?

Membership for individuals and organizations will be open in early 2026. Stay tuned by subscribing to our newsletter.
